The SGP-7 Indonesia Secretariat opens opportunities for institutions in the three landscape areas (Central Java, Yogyakarta, South Sulawesi, and Gorontalo) to submit proposals for the implementation of activities as an umbrella organization in the work area.
The GEF SGP Indonesia program is a small grant program to assist community groups vulnerable to environmental change, implemented by UNDP and the Bina Usaha Lingkungan Foundation.

Selected communities/institutions will receive a maximum grant of USD 50,000
Scope of the Task :
The objectives of this task are to:
- In coordination with the GEF SGP-7 Indonesia Secretariat, implement SGP-7 Project Documentation strategies and achievements in each landscape.
- Become a coordination node for the implementation of the GEF SGP-7 program in their respective landscape areas.
- Develop a three-year program for the implementation of the GEF SGP Indonesia strategy in one of the landscapes of SGP-7 activities
- Implement the program that has been prepared in accordance with the approved budget.
- Develop mentoring programs for institutions and communities in the working area.
- Facilitate the development of proposals for potential implementing partners.
- Facilitate the needs of implementing partner institutions related to administrative management, including financial reports and narrative reports that will be submitted to the GEF SGP Secretariat.
- Facilitate financial management for partners who are inexperienced in grant management in a manner agreed upon by the Host Institution and the GEF SGP-7 Indonesia Secretariat.

- Linking partner activities with initiatives from other institutions that can provide opportunities for sustainability, replication and scaling up.
- Linking partner activities with policy changes at the local level that are needed according to the conditions of each program location.
Expected Results
- Implementation of the GEF SGP Indonesia strategy implementation program in selected locations according to the timeline prepared (duration: 3 years).
- Implementation of mentoring programs for local institutions and communities (duration: 2.5 years).
- Implementation of relevant stakeholder relationship management strategies (duration: 2 years). stakeholder terkait (durasi: 2 tahun).
- Knowledge management portal (duration: 2.5 years).
- Activity monitoring portal (duration: 2.5 years).
- Program sustainability design, program sustainability implementation, and stakeholder relations action plan (duration: 2 years).
- Roadmap for developing new policies or strengthening existing policies to accelerate change in the community according to the needs of the community in each program location (duration: 2 years).
3. Who can submit a proposal?
Grantees (civil society or non-governmental organizations, academics) who have experience supporting community work for natural resource management; are located in one of the GEF SGP-7 Indonesia Landscapes; have experience in community outreach activities in remote areas; have experience in designing program management for work at the local level in order to contribute at the global level; have experience working with communities for more than two years; familiarity with biodiversity, climate change, and land degradation issues in the selected region; Previous experience working with the private sector, government, and other stakeholders is an advantage. You must complete and submit a grant proposal in accordance with the GEF SGP-7 Indonesia Grant Proposal Template and Request for Information from, Educational Institutions, and Research Institutions.
Implementation Mechanism for the Distribution of Grant Funds for Activity Management Institutions in Bodri Watershed, Balangtieng Watershed, Nantu SM, and BJ. Habibie Forest Park
- The community/service provider institution is expected to submit a narrative and budget proposal for activities for the period April 1, 2023, through May 30, 2025, in accordance with the SGP Phase 7 proposal format.
- The deadline for submitting Pundi Perempuan grant proposals is February 22, 2023.
- Community and service provider institution proposals that enter the GEF SGP secretariat will be selected and decided by the GEF SGP Indonesia National Steering Committee.
- The selected communities and institutions manage activities in Bodri Watershed, Balangtieng Watershed, SM Nantu, and BJ. Habibie Forest Park will be announced via email and GEF SGP Indonesia's social media.
