Never in the history of Sebadak Raya have the villagers quarreled with their neighboring village, Pangkalan Suka. Especially since these two villages were once united, they were like one family. But since the arrival of the palm oil company two years ago, these two villages have been at odds ever since. In the past, the ancestors of these two villages lived together in the Kebuai Hamlet. Their leader at that time was known as the Demung, while the highest leader was called the Mantir. The power struggle for the Mantir position in 1943 was the beginning of the formation of the two villages that are now in conflict. At that time, the two sons of the village leaders, Rongas the eldest and Songat the younger, both wanted to succeed their father in leading the Kebuai Hamlet. In the election, Rongas was chosen to be the Mantir. His younger brother, who couldn't accept the defeat, then moved with his family and followers to Tanjung Penjaluran, about 23 kilometers away from Kebuai. In their new place, they settled and eventually formed a new settlement called Sukamaju.
