IMPLEMENTATION OF THE GEF SGP INDONESIA PHASE-6 PROGRAM

"This report is dedicated to the wonderful people, women and men, young and old, who have been part of the journey on the smooth, potholed, and muddy roads over the 4 years (2017–2021) of the GEF SGP phase 6 program."

Our deepest gratitude to all those who have worked tirelessly for the past 4 years: the GEF SGP Indonesia Secretariat (Dudu, Meinar, and Hery), host institutions, and partner institutions on Semau Island, Wakatobi, Gorontalo, and Nusa Penida. Do not forget the prayers offered in memory of our brother Candra Kusuma, who has preceded us. The contribution of the deceased to the journey of the GEF SGP phase 6 program is incalculable.

The proudest legacy of this program is the endless learning process between living beings and their environment. At the end of the program, there were many dreams that came true, although there were also many who had just dared to put their hopes in. As long as hope is paired with hard work and never giving up, rest assured that it will soon be realized.

Although there were disappointments here and there on this journey, learning about managing programs, coordinating, organizing communities, improvising, respecting commitments, and respecting nature became the most valuable part and will be used for future work. There are so many things that make us all like one big family who continues to greet and inform each other. Hopefully, the friendship doesn't end after this. Because for families, even the simplest news is considered very valuable.

Our expectations as a team of compilers of this report are not grandiose. Make this report a casual conversation while sipping coffee in the morning or afternoon. Please continue to develop it as a living document so that our work is not just a memory.
