The wall in the entrance alley of the Bukit Duri area is full of striking graffiti. There are inscriptions like "Ciliwung Green," "Community Mutual Assistance Area," "Reject Eviction," and many more containing messages interspersed with paintings of people's faces and images of creeping plant roots on the wall. The graffiti, which stretches almost 500 meters, creates a different atmosphere along the banks of the Ciliwung River, making it more cheerful. It's hard to imagine that the area is prone to flooding. Like in general elections, the Ciliwung riverbank area is hit by major floods every five years. For example, floods in 2002 and 2007. During the 2007 flood, around 48 people died. 1500 houses in East Jakarta were damaged, and thousands of people were displaced.
