The Global Environment Facility Small Grants Programme (GEF SGP) Indonesia is an environmental funding program supported by the GEF and conducted by UNDP, which represents other GEF implementing agencies such as the World Bank and UNEP. The GEF SGP Indonesia National Coordinator Secretariat opens an invitation to submit proposals for the implementation of GEF SGP Indonesia Phase 7 operations for Non-Profit Organizations, Community Organizations, or Joint Business Groups.
GEF SGP Indonesia Phase 7 prioritizes working areas in the Bodri Watershed (DAS), Central Java, Balangtieng Watershed (DAS), South Sulawesi, Nantu Wildlife Reserve (SM) and Gorontalo Forest Park (TAHURA) area, and Sabu Raijua Island, East Nusa Tenggara. The program aims to provide funding facilities to community groups and non-governmental organizations that are facing ecological challenges with innovative, independent and affordable ways and technologies through sustainable resource management. The focus areas supported are community-based biodiversity conservation, climate change mitigation, green energy use, and critical land rehabilitation in ecosystems with global environmental benefits. The maximum grant is USD 25,000, with a maximum two-year implementation.
The GEF SGP Indonesia program is a small grant program to help community groups that are vulnerable to environmental change, conducted by UNDP and implemented by the Bina Usaha Lingkungan Foundation. Hence, the SGP-7 Indonesia secretariat opens opportunities for organizations in the three landscape areas (Yogyakarta Central Java, Gorontalo South Sulawesi, and Sabu Raijua NTT) to submit proposals for the implementation of activities as Host Institutions in the working area. Organizations that are expected to submit proposals are village organizations, indigenous community groups, joint business groups, and NGOs for the allocation of small grant funds in 2023.
