About us

Three decades
with communities

The GEF Small Grants Programme began work in Indonesia in 1993. Since 1997, the program has been managed Yayasan Bina Usaha Lingkungan (YBUL).

For more than three decades, SGP has funded 796 community projects with grants of about USD 13.5 million, mobilizing USD 18.1 million in co-financing. About 90% of investment flows to biodiversity (76%) and climate change mitigation (14%).

In the 8th Operational Phase, SGP Indonesia is implemented by FAO as the GEF Implementing Agency, with YBUL as the executing entity, and focuses on five priority landscapes.

  1. Pilot1993
  2. OP11997
  3. OP21999
  4. OP32005
  5. OP42008
  6. OP52011
  7. OP62015
  8. OP72020
  9. OP82025–2029
