Objetive 1:
3 Monthly Meeting "Tafena Tabua (Building Together)"
Photo 1. This 3-monthly meeting is a media and forum for all GEF partners working in the Semau area to exchange information regarding work progress in the field and provide input for Tafena Tabua in carrying out advocacy and also to form a forum that involves all residents and stakeholders other.
Photo 2. Participants are mapping the location of their activities on the Semau Island map. The intended mapping is to see to what extent and what activities partners have carried out in the field and opportunities for collaborative work between partners.
Objective 2:
3 monthly meetings "From Us to Semau".
Photo 3. Partner meeting to formulate the model and form of the multistakeholder forum, the actors who need to be approached to be involved in this forum.
Photo 5. Meeting facilitated by Andri Ratumakin with the aim of determining at what level the forum will be formed, the actors involved and the division of roles.
Photo 4. Conny Tiluata as Tafena Tabua Coordinator opened the meeting and presented the results of the study of documents and joint work.
Photo 6. Partners are asked to write down the success of their work and then map the area of the activity location on the P. Semau map that has been prepared.
BEST EXPERIENCE
Photo 7. Availability of a list of names of prospective forum members based on established criteria and the issues that will be discussed in the forum.
Photo 8. There is an agreement to establish a free multi-stakeholder forum in Semau with a streamlined structure.
Objetive 3:
Actor Forum Visit
Photo 9. Meeting with actors who will be involved in the forum that will be formed to discuss development issues in Semau.
Photo 10. The actors who came were given a little understanding regarding the forum and the issues that would be discussed in the forum. As well as inviting their involvement in this forum itself.
IMPACT OF ACTIVITIES
- Partners have opportunities for collaborative work from the results of activity mapping in the target villages
- Establishment of a multi-stakeholder forum.
- The community is able to advocate regarding problems that occur.
PROJECT OUTCOMES
- There is solid cooperation between partners who work at P. Semau.
- There is sharing of information and best practices from partners.
- There is an agreement to form a forum and the form/model of a multi-stakeholder forum in Semau Island
- Map out the key figures who will be involved in the multi-stakeholder forum.
- There are proposed issues to be discussed in the forum.
- There are 4 women and 19 men in Semau District and there are 4 women and 11 men in South Sulawesi District will be involved in the multi-stakeholder forum.
PROJECT SUSTAINABILITY
- Establishment of a Multistakeholder Forum on Semau Island involving key figures.
- Forum members gain capacity strengthening through the issues discussed in the forum.
- The Semau people are able to advocate for their problems and have a bargaining position in implementing various programs or activities on Semau Island.
