Proposal Clinic: Call for Proposals for the SEPLS Strategic Partner – GEF SGP Indonesia OP8

Planning to apply as the Strategic Partner for Socio-Ecological Production Landscapes and Seascapes (SEPLS) under GEF SGP Indonesia OP8? Join our Proposal Clinic to understand the Terms of Reference, shape a well-targeted proposal, and put your questions directly to the SGP Indonesia National Secretariat before the application deadline on 23 November 2026.

This call offers a strategic grant of up to USD 150,000 over 34 months to support grantees in five priority landscapes and seascapes, as well as SGP partners outside the priority landscapes.

What we will cover

1. OP8 and the SEPLS approach: the five priority landscapes/seascapes and the Orbital Implementation Model.
2. The Strategic Partner’s role: the five work components, from landscape/seascape assessment and planning, field support (including for partners outside the priority landscapes), data and GIS, research and knowledge, to policy and partnerships.
3. Division of roles with the Landscape Facilitators: what the Strategic Partner is responsible for, and what the National Secretariat funds separately.
4. Budgeting: budgets in Indonesian Rupiah, caps of 10% each for administrative costs and local expert costs, and the 1:1 co-financing target.
5. Evaluation criteria: how organisational, technical, programmatic, financial, and risk and safeguards profiles are scored.
6. Required documents and how to apply through the SGP Portal.
7. Q&A session.

Prospective applicants that meet the Strategic Partner criteria: national or regional NGOs, specialised civil society organisations, expert networks, universities or research institutions, and consortia.
