Nature needs guardians. Its guardians live in villages.

The preservation of Indonesia's nature, from forest areas to the coast, has proven most effective when managed directly by local communities. To make this happen, the GEF SGP Indonesia program channels support through various local partners to promote grassroots environmental conservation action. This real movement actively empowers Indigenous Peoples, youth, and women as the frontline in maintaining ecosystem balance in their regions.
